Edgeland

They said Edgeland would break edge as soon as it hit episode 21, but it didn't happen. Edgeland is back this week and it is still the most straightedge podcast on the internet. This time around Bill begrudgingly delves back into the X files to hopefully shed light onto another straightedge mystery. In the interview portion of the show Bill talks with Matt Pike (twitterinstagramtumblr) of Some Kind of Hate and the man behind The Kenmore Agency. Matt had a big hand in putting together this past weekends Musink festival in Orange County and he talks about how he got started in hardcore, how life has changed as a father, and the benefits of living in California. In the non edge column Bill talks with a real legend of hardcore, Sam Siegler. Sam talks about playing in New York hardcore bands like Side by Side, Youth of Today, Gorilla Biscuits, Judge and Project X starting at the tender age of 12 years old, planning tours around school breaks, and about the unique experiences he has had thanks to music. Like playing Mtv's spring break and some studio work for Limp Bizkit. A fun episode this week that is enjoyable for the entire family, if your entire family likes hardcore.

Hopefully everyone is fully recovered from St. Patrick's Day festivities and is ready to enjoy the twentieth installment of Edgeland. This week on the show Bill has gone mad, march mad, with March Madness. Get all the information you need with the Edgeland guide to March Madness. This week two amazing guests join the show. In the edge column Bill talks with Anthony Anzaldo of Ceremony and Never Healed. Anthony talks about his early musical influences, the tattoo all true edgeman need to have, and being the fancy boy from Ceremony. In the non Edge column Bill talks Wes Eisold of Cold Cave (instagram, twitter) and The Heartworm Press. Wes talks about how he got into straightedge and hardcore, the American Nightmare days, and the shortcomings of labels. This episode is a must listen.

Reclaim the hour that daylight savings robbed from you with this weeks episode of Edgeland. This week Bill goes over one of the biggest mysteries in straightedge in a segment that is unfortunately called "X-files". Also, Bill interviews Greg Bennick of Trial and Between Earth and Sky. Greg just finished a west coast spoken word tour and talks about the process of developing as a performer, rough audiences, and this crazy thing we call straightedge. In the non edge column Jason Traeger (twitterPortland stand up photos)returns for a second interview. This interview picks up where the last one left off and Jason talks about relationships with substances and people, and he also talks about his very early days of stand up comedy.

Edgeland is in like a lion for the first week of March. This week Bill finds out about an amazing job opportunity for certain types of straightedge folk. Everybody is in a wrestling mood these days with the WWE network launching so this week Edgeland is all about wresting. In the edge column Bill talks with Leslie Butterscotch (youtube) about his introduction to straightedge, character development, and 90's wrestling. In the non edge column Bill talks with Vin Gerard (twitter) about the Wilkes-Barre music scene, why wrestling with a mask is way more difficult than it seems, and if there is a term for people that are not straightedge.
